This Memorial Day, please take a moment to reflect on the real reason for the day off and honor those who made the ultimate sacrifice for our Nation's continued freedom. The day was formerly called Decoration Day for good reason, as folks would actually take the time to pay their respects to our fallen by laying flowers and flags at their graves. I for one, wouldn't mind if we changed the name back and focused on the real reason for the holiday. God Bless America 🇺🇸

If you heard a few footsteps on the roof of the today, it was just our Public Works crew making sure we don't get rain falling inside our buildings when the snow finally melts. We tried to keep the noise to a whisper, Carver County Library🔉🤫

Our plows were out this afternoon cleaning up some slushy areas. Many thanks to our crew for the hard work and long hours the last few days! Also, shout out to the ☀️ for showing up today!
