There's a photo I took recently while at Katmai National Park in Alaska that I can't stop looking at—a close-up of a grizzly bear, asleep with its head resting gently on one massive arm. Its thick fur looks impossibly soft, its claws curled like punctuation marks in a long, drowsy sentence. What gets me most, though, is the bear’s eye—just barely cracked open, as if it’s still half-aware of the world, but not quite willing to engage with it....

Photographing a humpback whale breach has been on my photography bucket list for years. After more than a dozen boat tours filled with fleeting glimpses and distant splashes, I finally captured the moment — a full breach, up close and unforgettable. Whale Watching in Seward, Alaska with Northern Latitude Adventures This adventure began in Seward, Alaska, where we booked a small group wildlife and glacier cruise with…...

It’s been a while—since 2021, to be exact. Life got busy (as it does), and I took a step back from posting. But I never stopped being out in nature and behind the lens. Now that I’m semi-retired, I finally have the time—and headspace—to share the photos and moments I’ve been capturing all along. What’s NextI recently returned from a breathtaking trip to Alaska, and I can’t wait to share the wildlife, landscapes and stories from that adventure....

Gotta give this Bison credit for knowing what it wants! Car salt! 😂😂🐾🐾 Just before this video, a herd of Bison swarmed our car to lick salt off our car.
Our car was one big salt lick for these Bison on our recent trip to Custer State Park, South Dakota. Looks like we rang the dinner bell as they come running over to us!! 😂😂🐾🐾
Happy New Year everyone! And good riddance 2020! Looking forward to amazing things in 2021!
