The BridgeLine

🙌On Sunday, the Virginia House and Senate released their proposed budgets, and funding for brain injury was included in both. The Senate budget contained $300,000 in new funding for workforce retention for our state-funded safety net services. The House budget contained $985,000 for workforce retention and an additional 1 million dollars for strengthening and expanding our safety net! Plus, budgets also contained funding for a new 25-bed neurobehavioral unit in Virginia for persons with brain injury! The House and Senate budgets will be negotiated over the next few weeks, and we will continue our advocacy for increased funding and services throughout Virginia.
