A recent email update from a mom, who has an amazing son on the autism spectrum, made my day! With her permission, I wanted to share a some of her son's story since starting sulforaphane:
"He is making such amazing progress since adding the BROQ capsules. He has added 20 new words (picture and verbal) just in the past month to his vocabulary."
Clinically, I've seen improvements in anxiety in children who aren't on the spectrum as well.
The biggest trouble is taste and tolerability... This mom found mixing the capsule contents with 5mLs of fruit juice masked the taste and allows her son to take it without any difficulty.
Please remind me to discuss this at your next appointment, or schedule a follow-up if you're interested in learning more!
In the meantime, here is handout with links to studies, as well as trusted brands, and dosages.

Sulforaphane in Autism
Sulforaphane is a phytochemical found in broccoli sprouts shown to reduce challenging behaviors and improve socialization in adolescent males with autism. It has exciting potential, with only mild (if any) side effects.
I’ve attached a handout with more information.
If you are a current patient, please remind me to discuss this at your next visit, if you’d like to learn more! 🥦🥦

In hopes to help meet the increasing demand, we are now offering Rapid COVID-19 Antigen testing! We use the BinaxNow Antigen test, endorsed by the Virginia Department of Health for testing of asymptomatic or symptomatic persons, within the first 7 days of symptoms.
Testing is FREE! But, we'd love for you to consider a small donation to Reclaimed Hope Initiative when scheduling. Check out the amazing work they do for special needs families in the community!
Please be sure to schedule an appointment to ensure availability of tests.

Get vaccinated.
Today, The New York Times and Los Angeles Times feature our plea to all Americans. It’s urgent that we take the scientifically proven measures to protect our children:
- Get vaccinated. 💉
- Wear masks, especially in schools. 😷
- Social distance and wash hands. 🤲
