UPS batteries and car batteries? Same chemistry 🔋

Lead-acid batteries power everything from backup power systems to vehicles - and they all get recycled the same way.

Recycling them is largely straightforward because the supply chain to recycle car batteries is robust. Proper disposal keeps lead out of the environment and recovers materials for reuse.

Goodness are they heavy, though!

When a local computer repair shop needed to clear out months of accumulated inventory, they dropped over 600 pounds of circuit boards in one load! 🖥️

Our process:
✅ Chuck it in the back until we have an inventory sorting day.
✅ Eventually sort out the CPUs, Ram, Cards, Motherboards, etc
✅ Sell the working stuff, ship the rest to boardsort for reclamation.
