And 2nd in Shirley under the tent at 6724 N 1200 E (main st) all day until gone.

🍓Hello everyone, Alan at Berry Ridge farms and events in Charlottesville. Strawberry season is right around the corner

Today, we are featuring one of our 3 strawberry varieties the Yambu strawberry. 🍓

These are a large early mid-season variety, visually appealing with their bright red color, glossy skin, and very sweet flavor. A real fan favorite. This variety could be ready as early as mid May.

Check out this yambu beauty down below known as Leona the salt of the earth and see how she’s progressing.

A lot has been going on at the farm since the fall and we will be sharing all the hard work. Today we are highlighting our Strawberry work.

In September we planted close to an acre of Strawberries for more variety other than our Raspberries and Blackberries for fresh U pick and pre pick for our customers.

Here are some pics of when planted In September and the nice growth in November and then covered in winter.

Purple Royalty Raspberries

U-Pick $6.50 per pound and limited pre pick available for 9.50 per pound.

Royalty’s are a large berry great for fresh eating and making jams and jellies making it an Indiana favorite.

Fresh pickens at Berry Ridge

Looks like after tomorrow Friday there won’t be many Black Raspberries left.

But there are Purple Raspberries available

Hours for July 4th will be 8am-2pm

$6.50 per pound U pick and limited pre pick available at $9.50 per pound.
