If you have received one of the inaccurate 1095-A's from the Health Insurance Marketplace, there is a work-around. Go to https://www.healthcare.gov/taxes/tools/silver/ and use the calculator to find the cost for the benchmark silver plan (second lowest cost silver plan) for your area. Take that price and use it in Part III column B of your 1095-A and you will be able to complete your return. The corrected 1095-A's are scheduled to be sent the first week of March.

The IRS estimates that 75% of taxpayers will only have to check the box on Line 61 of their Form 1040 to indicate they had health insurance for all of 2014. Medicare beneficiaries who are currently covered by this plan will be automatically assigned another plan if they don't act.
