The Independence Resource Center mourns the loss of of our founder, great leader, humanitarian, and advocate, Rev. Nathaniel Brown. Our region and the Commonwealth have lost a shining star.
We will miss him.

ADA violations persist in the City of Charlottesville, Va - Government and also across Virginia and the country. Careless placement of utility poles by Dominion Energy and other utility companies compound the access problems for localities and citizens.

Concerns raised over Charlottesville utility poles placement violating ADA laws Part of the issue stems from where the utility poles are placed, not leaving enough width from the sidewalk to the road.

The Charlottesville Cardinals were very pleased to learn that they are now ranked #5 in the nation in the latest National Wheelchair Basketball Association D3 Power Rankings:
