When I made these images in late summer of 2023, I didn’t have the words for what I was holding. I only knew the feeling—contained, alone, suspended. Treading water. I keep returning to them now, realizing they were already telling the story for me. Isn’t it beautiful how art speaks long before we’re ready to listen?

Thank you to the families who came in for my last-minute mini session fundraiser on Friday, we raised $300 for Central Virginia Community Support Fund! Currently, money raised for CVCSF is being used to cover bond payments for Virginians held in ICE detention, reuniting them with their families. I’ll be at it again tomorrow, so shoot me a message if you want to pop by. Good for headshots, quick portraits with your loved ones, pictures of your pet (bring me your dogs). Whatever your heart desires! 💛

I’m hosting some mini sessions tomorrow 1/30 and Monday 2/2 with 50% of the proceeds going to the Central Virginia Community Support Fund. CVCSF raises money for individuals and families facing separation and legal uncertainty. Currently, funds raised are being used to cover bond payments for Virginians held in ICE detention.
