More Than a Ride: Meet Sharonda Washington - Jaunt Meet Sharonda Washington, a Jaunt driver whose 26-year journey shows how transportation creates connection, independence, and community.

In observance of Juneteenth, Jaunt will operate ADA and dialysis services only on Friday, June 19. Regular service will resume following the holiday.

Behind the scenes, team members like Sabias help keep Jaunt moving.
As part of our reservations team, Sabias is known for being respectful, understanding, and always striving to do better than the day before.

Angie shared that he is truly a joy to work with.
Outside of work, Sabias is a former college football athlete, a workout aficionado, and someone who stays health-conscious through running and calisthenics whenever he can.

We're grateful to have Sabias as part of the Jaunt team.

When Amy's car broke down, getting to work became a challenge.

Thanks to Jaunt, she was able to continue riding to work and avoid missing important shifts. Stories like Amy's remind us that transportation is about more than getting from one place to another, it's about maintaining independence, supporting employment, and staying connected to what matters most.

For 50 years, Jaunt has helped people across Central Virginia access work, healthcare, groceries, and everyday opportunities.
