Just in this beautiful Jens Risom Slipper chair with tomato red webbing by Knoll
Not only is it in perfect condition. It has been signed by Jens Risom in 2016 the year he died. It was a gift from Jens nephew to our consignor that being how it got signed.

About the Artist: Edward Thomas (1972-2021) was an artist, architect and historian living and working in Charlottesville, Virginia. Edward studied both architecture and painting at the University of Virginia. He created a beautiful body of work that captured and illuminated the mundane and spectacular scenes of Central Virginia.

Signed “Lipton” Abstract Composition

Bold color, expressive brushwork, and richly layered texture give this abstract painting a distinctly mid-century modern feel.

Signed “Lipton” in the lower right, the work shares stylistic and signature similarities with Irish-born modernist Rita Lipton (1912–1986), though the attribution has not been authenticated.

Whether you’re drawn to its vibrant palette, dynamic composition, or the mystery surrounding its maker, it’s a striking piece with plenty of presence.
