Carpentry Coach (yup, that's me) is scheduling jobs for late August into the fall! What projects do you need done? What are you itching to learn? What workshops do you want me to schedule? Fill my fall, friends! :)

David had a problem: p**p on his bikes. Lots and lots of bird s**t from the many swallow families who nested for a few months a year in his barn. During peak cycling season, they perform daily perch-n-p**ps on the dozen bikes his family owns and rides regularly. Bummer.

Enter: Carpentry Coach!

David dreamed of a separate bird-proof bike room in the barn, using salvaged doors from his 100 year old farmhouse. I suggested a big sliding barn door so he could still park his car in the barn and not get dinged with a swinging door. And in two days, we accomplished the project! David will slap on some trim and paint to make it look pretty. What a fun project.

Carpentry Coach ran three workshops over the summer: 1) Carpentry for Women participants worked hard to build a potting shed frame for Broadfork Farm! 2) Wildcrafters made pine needle baskets and bone and antler crafts such as rings and knives and 3) Rustic Furniture participants released their creativity during one long day which started by harvesting trees and branches from the forest and ended with awesome stools, tables, thrones and hooks.

Happy to schedule workshops for kids, families or adults--hit me up! :)

You might have noticed that Carpentry Coach has been silent since late May. That is because on June 5, Coach had an unfortunate encounter with a ramp and a creek while on her mountain bike. :)

Recovering from a major injury and accident has taught me lots, most importantly that I love and cherish this body. The healing is going great, thank God. And I am SO STOKED to be back to building things as of a few weeks ago! Check out the posts for the next few days to see what's been shakin'.
