Having lived in Charlottesville my whole life, I’ve dedicated my career to engaging the community with heart and excellence in family photography. It’s a privilege to document the stories that make our community special — first smiles, growing families, golden hour moments in the Blue Ridge, and the quiet connections that matter most.

This nomination is a powerful reminder of the trust families continue to place in me. Thank you to everyone who took the time to nominate me. To every family I’ve had the honor of photographing, your support has been the foundation of my work here.

From vaccine line to mountain top “I do” — this one hits different.💍

Alison and David met shortly after Covid while getting their vaccines as fellow physical therapists. What started as two exhausted healthcare heroes chatting in line turned into the kind of love that feels written in the stars.

I first met Alison when she booked me for a couples session. Halfway through, David dropped down on one knee in front of their fur babies to profess his intentions of their future. To heard her say yes through happy tears is a memory I’ll never forget.

Fast forward to their mountain top elopement: just the two of them, the wind, the views, and vows that felt like the most natural continuation of their story. No big crowd, no stress — only pure joy and the kind of intimacy that makes you believe in forever.

So honored to have walked alongside them from the proposal photos all the way to their private vows at the top of the world.

Here’s to love that heals, grows, and chooses the mountains over the crowds. 🏔️💍
