Sylvia Moses is a true multi-hyphenate, multi-threat talent. Actor. Vocalist. Dancer. And consummate professional. Able to switch from stern severity to sweet innocence in a split second. Her deftness on stage, making it all look easy, is what happens when true talent meets thorough training, fueled by a pure passion for performance.

As I reviewed the footage, I realized the most interesting part of DREAM STUDY wasn’t just the finished short film.

It was this room.

The conversations.
The problem-solving.
The moments where ideas appeared, changed shape, or completely fell apart.

What began as a one-day filmmaking experiment slowly became a record of collaboration in real time.

So instead of jumping straight to the finished film, I’m starting at the beginning.

“Dreaming Up DREAM STUDY” begins soon.

A few moments from the day we we made DREAM STUDY.

Originally, I thought the behind-the-scenes material would just become a few quick promotional posts leading up to the short itself.

But going back through the footage, I realized how much of the story was actually happening behind the camera; ideas evolving in real time, scenes changing shape, actors building moments together, trying things, adapting things, discovering things. The AI concept was just the catalyst, like the stone in our stone soup.

So over the next few weeks, I’m going to start sharing pieces of that process. I’m calling it:

“Dreaming Up DREAM STUDY”

Not just the finished film, but the adventure that begat it.
