Let’s be clear: this isn’t just a blog. It’s a movement.
FUD U was born from the fire—those moments when fear, uncertainty, and doubt (aka FUD) tried to hijack our peace, our power, and our purpose. But instead of folding, we flipped the script. We built a brand that doesn’t just call out the chaos—it teaches it a lesson.
This is FUD U, and class is officially in session.
💥 What Is FUD U?
FUD U stands for more than just a cheeky acronym. It’s a rally cry for emotional clarity, unapologetic boundaries, and the kind of truth-telling that doesn’t flinch. Whether you’ve been gaslit, ghosted, guilt-tripped, or just plain exhausted by the noise—FUD U is your space to reclaim your voice.
We’re here to say:
Fear doesn’t get the final word. You do.
🧠 Why a Movement?
Because too many of us have been taught to shrink, to second-guess, to stay silent. FUD U is about unlearning that. It’s about rewriting the rules and showing up with boldness, humor, and heart.

🚀 What’s Next?
The tees are being manufactured. The stories are coming. And the movement is growing.
So, whether you’re here to laugh, cry, vent, or vibe—welcome. You belong here.
FUD U isn’t just a brand. It’s a boundary. It’s a battle cry. It’s a new beginning.

💔 From Co-Dependency to Clarity: The Woman Behind FUD U

You may have known me by different names over the years—each one tied to a chapter of marriage, motherhood, and reinvention. But the name that’s stuck, the one that feels most like home, is Miss Kelly. It’s what kids in the neighborhood call me, what echoes across basketball courts and school hallways, and what every friend of my children has affectionately used for decades. After 35 consecutive years of raising kids, it became a role, a reputation, and a legacy. I’ve been the steady presence, the open door, the extra mom. And with my youngest still thriving in high school, I’m no longer trying to be anyone else. I’m just me. Miss Kelly.
I’m a published author, a mother, a survivor, and the founder of FUD U, a movement born from pain, truth, and the refusal to stay silent.
📚 The Author Behind the Armor

My book, The Goat That Escaped & Survived (Edition 2 coming soon…) is more than a memoir. It’s a reckoning. I wrote it to give voice to the trauma I endured—from a childhood marked by abuse to a marriage that mirrored it in terrifying ways. It’s a story of scapegoating, survival, and spiritual clarity. The first edition closed with a flicker of hope—still believing there might be a happily ever after with the man who broke me. But Edition 2 will tell the truth behind that hope: no matter how many times he asked for forgiveness, the velocity of his abuse never slowed. This next chapter is about clarity, closure, and the courage to stop rewriting someone else’s story—and finally live my own.
💼 A Career Built on Grit

I spent 17 years in the Federal Government, followed by 20 years at Microsoft, where I led strategic transformation initiatives. I later founded Posh Diggs, a business rooted in design, empowerment, and reinvention. My professional life has always been about building—systems, brands, homes, and hope.
But behind the titles and the LinkedIn profile was a woman drowning in co-dependency, pouring alcohol and pain meds over wounds that never healed. Until I decided they would.
👩‍👧 Breaking the Cycle

On my 45th birthday, I gave birth to my daughter—a miracle born into chaos. Her presence became my turning point. I looked at her and knew I had to break this cycle. I have to show her that men do not hurt women.
She is right, motivated, and growing into a young woman with strength and grace. She is my reason, my redemption, and my daily reminder that healing is not only possible—it’s powerful.
👨‍👦‍👦 The Children I’ve Raised

I’m a proud mother to four remarkable individuals, each carving out their own path with integrity, drive, and heart. I’ve had the privilege of guiding them through life’s challenges, supporting their education and training, and watching them rise into careers that reflect their values and talents. My stepson, thriving in vocational career. The two older boys have gone on to thrive in high-impact professional roles. They are living proof that love, sacrifice, and resilience can rewrite any legacy
🧠 Healing in Progress

I’m in 12-Step Programs, working through the layers of addiction and trauma rooted in co-dependency. I also work closely with a psychiatrist to manage anxiety, depression, and sleep—because healing requires both courage and clinical care. I’m in counseling, not just to unpack the past, but to build a future rooted in emotional clarity. Most importantly, I’ve surrounded myself with a team of professionals and friends who have stood by me—even when family walked away. And here’s what changed everything: once I realized that my problems weren’t unique, that others were living through similar chaos—that was the turning point. That’s when I stopped hiding and started healing. My recovery is not linear, but it is mine. And I share it not for sympathy—but for solidarity. Because when we speak our truth, we give others permission to find theirs.
🤝 A Life of Giving Back

My lifetime has been about giving back. I founded the first Federal Co-Op Program between Gallaudet University and the IRS, creating pathways for deaf students to thrive in federal careers. I’ve helped fund seven people through college, including paying off my ex’s student loans. I continue to offer free training through a program I created called Proposing YOU. A transformative training program I created to help people present themselves with confidence and clarity—whether they’re high school graduates preparing college applications, college students landing their first job, or corporate executives stepping into VP and senior leadership roles in high-tech industries. It’s not just about resumes—it’s about owning your story, your strengths, and your next chapter.
One of my favorite stories began with a 14-year-old on my son’s basketball team, who asked me one day, “Miss Kelly, does Microsoft have a summer intern program for high schoolers?” After checking into it, I learned that Charlotte didn’t offer one. Instead of letting that be the end of it, he asked, “Can we build it together?” And we did. We worked with Microsoft corporate, secured funding, and launched two summer programs—which he proudly named GENESIS. That’s what giving back looks like: not just opening doors but building them from scratch with the next generation.
At Posh Diggs, I lead a team of 20, many of whom speak English as a second language. Our shared language? Sign language—a visual, universal way to connect and create. I’m deeply committed to empowering women, especially those whose talents have been hidden in back rooms and underpaid roles.
In an industry where skilled artisans are often undervalued and tucked away in backrooms, I’ve chosen a different path. At Posh Diggs, I invest in vocational excellence—recognizing that true craftsmanship deserves respect, dignity, and opportunity. My expert sewers aren’t just employees; they’re artists. I provide competitive compensation, meaningful benefits, and performance bonuses, and even offer restorative stays at my beach house. Because when you honor talent, you elevate lives. And when you empower women with the tools to thrive, you don’t just change their work—you change their world.
One of my most treasured moments was taking my lead seamstress—who’s sewn professionally for 19 years—to a 7,000-square-foot home where we installed the drapes and shades, she made. She cried in my car afterward, saying, “In 19 years, I’ve never seen my work in the home it was made for.”
Several times a year, I open my doors to teach sewing classes for kids ages 10 to 16. It’s more than stitching fabric—it’s stitching confidence, creativity, and connection. These young designers light up when they finish their fashion pieces, proudly modeling their work with joy and pride. But what moves me most is how they support each other—cheering on classmates, sharing tips, and celebrating every crooked seam and perfect hem as a team. These classes aren’t just about sewing. They’re about showing young people what it feels like to be seen, empowered, and capable.
🏠 A Home That Heals

Over the past 10 years, I’ve opened my home to two young men who needed grounding. One tutored my stepson and found stability. The other, a 19-year-old addict, found his way—earning his real estate license (funded by me), married a wonderful woman, and building a thriving career.
This is who I am.
This is Miss Kelly.
This is the heart behind FUD U.
Follow the movement. Wear the message.
Because clarity isn’t just emotional, it’s revolutionary.
