Wedding season is coming! Here's a look back at my last painting of 2025

Today I checked off a bucket list item and went to see the spider lilies at Lansford Canal. When I put it on my bucket list I never thought I'd get to paint them too! What a beautiful day to paint outside.

This one was fun because it was my first morning wedding. It's the first time I haven't had to break out my lamp to finish the painting. I love how this one came out 🥰

One of my most asked questions is, did you start this at home? I show up to every wedding with a blank canvas. I believe I make the best painting decisions in the moment. And by the end of the night, I'm done!

Busy season has started! 5 weddings in the next 4 weeks has my mind spinning with ideas.

This was a fun one! I'm headed into busy season with 5 weddings in the next 4 weeks. I love how every wedding painting comes out different. I never truly know what it's going to look like until it happens.

This year, I had my appendix out and painted a wedding two weeks later! (Thank you, modern medicine). After working with an absolutely wonderful bride and making a painting I loved at the nicest venue, I received the cherry on top in the form of a review from my bride.

"Absolutely loved the finished painting. It encapsulates our wedding perfectly. Kate did a great job including the beautiful scenery. Guests at the wedding loved interacting with her and watching the painting come to life!"
