2026 1/5 Scale Racing Series

Here we go! The kickoff to the 2026 season is going to be very exciting! For those who raced with us in 2025 you will notice the name of the series will change but the same great racing and even more excitement will follow shortly so stay tuned!!! Please save the dates listed as this WILL be the schedule of events included in the series for 2026! Something big is on the horizon, if you haven’t raced with us before now is time! Get em ready boys!!!

Well its about that time again!!

Well we were back at it this weekend at the SRS Carolina 1/5 Scale Triple Crown! Excited to be racing again! Had a blast with a great group of friends and an awesome racing facility at G3RC Raceway! The new home of 1/5 scale racing in the Carolinas and on the East Coast!

Silly Season News from Scale Racing Sports…

There certainly have been a lot of things going on since we wrapped up the third addition of the Blue Ridge Nationals this past October! Recently, there have been a number of you reaching out and inquiring about race dates for 2022, and the “yet to be confirmed, but pending closure of the APEX Center”.

While I cannot confirm or deny the closure at this point, I can tell you that our event dates for 2022 have not been renewed.

The only constant in life is change and after much reflection and deliberation our family has decided that change is necessary. Therefore, we have decided that Scale Racing Sports will cease its operations effective as of this announcement.

There were many underlying factors leading to this decision… Some RC related news that has already been announced, some RC related news that is still developing as well as other factors not RC related.

During this past off-season our attention and focus has shifted to our family and the emerging needs of aging parents with myriad of health conditions. With Kristina and I living across the country from all of our parents, their care and subsequent needs are quickly becoming a full-time (second) job.

I want to extend my most sincere appreciation to all of you who participated in SRS events and in doing so became friends! There is nothing that I wanted more, for all of you, than to continue to build our racing programs and events and provide the additional opportunities that enable our hobby to grow. Please do not mourn the end but celebrate the good times, good friends, and great events! It sure was a good run!
