All hands-on deck when drain flies make an unexpected return! 💪

After a healthcare partner noticed drain flies had returned to an operating room, our Core Account Manager, Liz Turner, partnered with Jeff Caudill from Nisus Corporation and conducted a follow-up inspection to identify the source. While observing the drains, many dead drain flies were present, confirming that prior control efforts had been effective and that the issue was drain-related.

Recommendations were provided, and the facility has implemented additional wastewater management procedures, including routine drain flushing. We'll continue working alongside the facility team to monitor progress and support a long-term solution.

Frank Fowler, Wildlife Manager at FORSHAW, breaks down what’s really happening in your yard.

If your turf looks like it was randomly torn up, it’s likely not random at all. Raccoons and skunks often dig in lawns searching for grubs.

What looks like surface damage is actually targeted feeding behavior happening underground — and understanding that is key to preventing it humanely.

Wildlife Wednesday with Frank
This week, Frank put together a look at deer fawning season and what to do if you come across a fawn.
It’s common for them to be found alone—but that doesn’t mean they’ve been abandoned.
Keeping your distance is the best way to help.
