Mayor Talib is an HBCU ambassador and hip-hop artist based in the Carolinas. His love for creating music started during his senior year in high school.
Born in Durham and raised in Charlotte, Mayor Talib was always surrounded by HBCU graduates, HBCU culture, and a burgeoning North Carolina hip-hop scene. A spontaneous song writing session with friends motivated Mayor Talib to use music as his primary creative outlet. In 2017, Mayor Talib made his debut by releasing his first album "Catfish Are Delicious". The 11-track project served as his formal
