Todays computer care tip: Do not plug devices into the computer while it is on, unless you are inserting a USB device. USB devices are the only devices which are hot-swappable, meaning you can plug and unplug them while the computer is on.
Little known fact about the first "computer bug" : Back in 1945, after WWII ended, the gargantuan Mark II computer which ran ordinance calculations for the U.S. Navy shut down. Technicians eventually found that a moth trapped between two of the machine’s relay points was the culprit. Navy personnel preserved the moth in the daily log (photo above) & noted “the first actual case of a bug being found” in a computer, hence “computer bug.” However, the culprit being a bug was sort of a coincidence, because the term “bug” had been used to describe a mechanical malfunction since Thomas Edison’s day. Today the term “bug,” & “debugging,” is techie jargon and one we all have come to understand to mean a major pain in the ass if you have one.
Today's Computer Care Tip:
Reboot your computer. (If you shutdown your computer each night, disregard this tip). If you leave your computer on all the time, definitely do this. It will reset the RAM, and your computer will run much better and faster.
Today's Computer Care Tip: Keep Windows updated. Security patches, minor enhancements, and bug fixes are made available for Windows regularly. Configure your operating system to automatically download and install these updates.
Today's Computer Care Recommendation: Do not move laptop before it is completely shut down! When the Hard Drive still working, and you move the laptop, the cylinder head might scratch the disk, causing the fatal damage, or it might affect the mechanics of the Hard Drive.

Today's Computer Care Recommendation: Back up your data- Backing up your data is a big part of computer maintenance. You can back up your data by copying them to any of the many media for file storage available today such as external hard drives, CDs and DVDs, and USB flash drives.
Today's Recommendation: Keep magnets and magnetic objects away from your computer. Otherwise, your data can become corrupt or even erased.
