📰 NEW APP COMING 📰

We can finally share with y’all that we’re launching a new Summit Coffee app. Depending on who you talk to, this is either 1 year or 6 years or 28 years in the making. Okay, apps weren’t a thing when we opened in 1998, BUT the Summit App 2.0 has been a dream and now is a reality. We’re talking better functionality, push notifications, and new rewards.

What this means? In order to make the proper transition, specifically your accounts and rewards, we need to pause our loyalty program starting today, June 15. We’ll then sprint to get all 61,000+ of you integrated into the new platform, so when it launches the app will know who you are!

You do not need to download anything. This will happen automatically, as soon as it’s ready — sometime before the end of June! We’ll share more details soon, about all of the perks and improvements. For now, we wanted to make sure you heard from us directly that loyalty is taking a nap. And we recognize this is a bit of a pain, we believe the new app will be SO worth it.

We're getting quite enamored with this ☕️ & 🌴 life down here in Charleston.

The first two years of expanding Summit in the Lowcountry hasn't been easy! But brick by brick we are learning hard lessons, getting better each day. Sunshine and palm trees and sand also help ☀️

To those of you who have supported us this whole time, thank you! To those of you that we have not met yet, we look forward to welcoming you in. And to those of you who have experienced our bumps and trials and tribulations, we look forward to an opportunity where we can do better the next time.

🎺 Summit is BACK in Asheville's RAD neighborhood this morning, some 19 months after Hurricane Helene.

JT, Paige, and the Summit RAD crew have been waiting for so so long to welcome our longtime customers back into a cafe space. Please celebrate them, and go say hello and enjoy coffee and an awesome new space just down the street from the old RAD cafe.

We are beyond excited to finally share what we're bringing to the Summit Farms development. As the lead partner for the Village at Summit Farms, not only are we building our brand new company roastery and HQ, but we also are starting a farm and launching a few new brands! AND breaking ground this spring.

👩🏼‍🌾 The heart of this project will be the 5-10 acre Garden at Summit Farms. We'll have a full-time staff cultivating the freshest and localist produce, flowers, herbs, all prepared and consumed and sold on site.

🥐 Adjacent to the farm, in the Village, will live Silly Goose Bakeshop. Our retail cafe ☕ on site, the chef-driven Silly Goose will be the newest canvas for our culinary team, led by Dora Callahan. Imagine an ever-evolving menu of bakery wonder, a custom Summit coffee menu, and an on-site outdoors play area.

🫜 Nearby is Greenhouse Market, the everyday farm stand store for the Garden. It also will boast a deli, with made to order sandwiches, salads, and more.

Behind the magic of every coffee, croissant, and cone we serve, there's a small army of folks who keep it ALL together.

Our production and office teams are led by some really, really special people and without them, we would have stale coffee ... and the scones would suck ... and the emails would go unanswered ... and we wouldn't have ice cream?

We love being inspired by nostalgia and childhood when we create, and this drink reminds us of secretly crushing 7 Samoas in the pantry while nobody sees you. But we see you, because we are just like you. No need to hide your cravings any longer.

Well, we didn't get the James Beard nomination this week that we have been hoping for ... BUT, we did learn that Summit has been selected as the feature for Bravo's newest reality TV drama, "America's Next Top Barista."

I've been pursuing TV stardom for decades now, so while Survivor, American Idol, and Top chef didn't work out, I am THRILLED that Summit gets to shine.

Thursdays, 9pm ET, staring this June.

Every once in a blue moon, we are fortunate to come across a building that at first glance makes us say: "that needs to be a Summit." How awesome is this historic house --> cafe going to be???

The fun and endless cycle of seasonal menu ideation continues. While the Spring Menu 🌷just dropped last week, Luz and Dora are finalizing recipes for the Summer Menu 🏖️

Also, is anyone with me (Brian) that lemonades deserve a permanent place on our menus! My goodness the 🍓 lemonade is so good right now.

We’re hiring! The Summit Bakery is looking for a part-time weekend baker to make our café pastry dreams come true.

Early mornings + weekend availability needed. No baking experience required! More hours are available beyond weekends. Come join our team!

Can we talk for a second about banana 🍌? Y'all are going absolutely wild for any and all things banana lately. Still, your (super healthy) obsession with the Banana Cream Pie Latte from the Spring menu is next level. So we are going to give a few more away.

In the first week, we've sold literally thousands of these things. Our bakery is making syrups as quickly as we can, the cafes are constantly whipping up fresh batches of cold foam. And not to disparage the other seasonal menu hits, 'cause they're all great and popular, but the BCP 💛 is willlllld.
