Happy National Underwear Day! 🎉 (We know... there's a day for everything now! 😂)
We thought today was the perfect opportunity to celebrate the conclusion of the UNDIE 5000 donation drive, hosted by our friend Carla, and her organization, 5683 Just Be.
Because of Carla, her incredible team, and a generous community of supporters, 4,130 pairs of underwear have been collected so far for the men and women we serve!
To put that into perspective, the men at Rebound use approximately 3,000 pairs of underwear each year. This donation will go a long way in helping us provide essential items to individuals as they begin their recovery journey with dignity.
We are incredibly grateful to 5683 Just Be for believing in our mission and walking alongside us in this way. And to every person who donated, thank you for your generosity. Your support is making a tangible difference in the lives of those we serve. ❤️
Taking a step toward recovery is life-altering.
To begin again gives an individual time to heal, gain knowledge, and to discover their God-given potential.
It is never too late to begin again. No matter your age or life circumstances.
To step into the "unknown" takes bravery and hope, which is exactly why we walk alongside each individual ready for a life transformation! ❤️
The profound partnership we have with Feeding Charlotte , is a relationship that has truly impacted our kitchen and residents!
Each week, Feeding Charlotte delivers rescued food from grocery stores to our Rebound and Dove’s Nest campuses, where it is incorporated into the meals served to our residents. To date, Feeding Charlotte has donated more than 150,000 pounds of food to our mission, helping nourish individuals on their recovery journey.
Because of them, rescued food is going to good use, filling the stomachs of many throughout the city!
THANK YOU, FEEDING CHARLOTTE!

AFFLICTION PRODUCES ENDURANCE! ❤️
Thirty-four ladies at Dove's Nest were baptized on Tuesday afternoon.🕊️🙏
We are filled with gratitude for the love and support of Elevation Church - Uptown , who volunteered on our campus during Love Week to be a tangible expression of Christ's love by walking alongside these women as they took this step of faith.
God never promised a life of ease. Instead, He tells us that we will face trials and suffering in this world. Yet, it is often through life's greatest obstacles that we draw closest to Him. Each of these women has endured pain, trauma, and countless hardships, and they have courageously chosen to take one step closer to Christ through baptism.
Thank you, Elevation Uptown, for being a part of their life transformation. Your prayers, compassion, and encouragement will remain with them long after this day.
His love endures forever!
Continue to pray for our residents as they walk through their recovery journey!
—--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
“Therefore, since we have been justified by faith, we have peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ, through whom we have gained access [by faith] to this grace in which we stand and we boast in hope of the Glory of God. Not only that, but we even boast of our afflictions, knowing that affliction produces endurance, and endurance, proven character, and proven character, hope, and hope does not disappoint, because the love of God has been poured out into our hearts through the Holy Spirit that has been given to us.” Romans 5:1-5

Every single morning is a fresh new opportunity to choose recovery over addiction, hope over despair, and life over death.
(One of our residents drew this on the glass at Rebound as the morning dew clung to the window. It was a simple yet powerful reminder that as the sun rises on each new day, we are all allowed to put our past behind us and have the chance to begin again.) ☀️❤️

Last Thursday, we celebrated the graduation of our Life Skills students for July!
These students spent the past six months working at the Community Matters Cafe or with our maintenance/facilities team to learn behavioral and working skills that are necessary to enter successfully into the workforce while in active recovery. Our students rotate through various positions to add to their skill set.
We are beyond proud of each of them, and we're excited to see where their future leads them!
