Today we will be closing at 1:00 P.M. to celebrate the life of Kelly Watkins. Kelly and Sherry started Custom Hydraulics and Design in 1985 and have dedicated their lives to serving our customer’s.

Kelly entered the Navy at 17 and learned to be a machinist serving aboard the USS Vulcan Navy repair ship. With this knowledge as well as working under many experienced mentor’s, Kelly developed his technical ability to diagnose and troubleshoot complicated fluid power systems. He did so with a keen since of logic and understanding. This ablility allowed him to typically find a simple cause and solution to get his customer’s operating in a timely manner.

In business Kelly lived by the most simple rule, treat others exactly how you want to be treated. For Kelly this meant having a since of humbleness and whit that helped customer’s feel at ease as though they were longtime friends.

Through these friendships he and his faithful crew have been able to grow Custom Hydraulics and Design into one of the leading hose and hydraulic shops in the southeast.

We are Very proud of Kelly and his accomplishments. His presence in the shop will be missed tremendously however his spirit will certainly carry on.
