Never posted pics of my attempt to build an earth bag structure. This started several years ago at my former residence. I began by digging a trench and installing a French drain and tying it into the French drain that I installed around the back of the house. Then the filling and stacking began. I worked on it on and off for over a year. However, due to exposure time and some less than uniform stacking, it collapsed with a couple of rows to go. Disappointing to say the least. I cleaned it all up, spread the dirt around the yard, kept the first 4 rows (which were gravel for drainage) and built a 12 sided wooden structure with a 12 sided hip roof. I also made it a yurt. I didn’t get a chance to finish it and I won’t go into the metaphorical parallels between this project and my life but I just wanted to share. If art is about process more product then this turned out to be a true artistic journey. I got a few more pics I’ll post that I couldn’t fit in this one. earthbag

These custom vanities are the nicest pieces I have ever done. Stained red oak, flush inset doors and drawers… floating. Could not have pulled it off without the shop and help of my friend and master woodworker David Schaffert with Wood Design. Don’t call him. He’s retiring.

Never got any pics of this wall removal, kitchen remodel we did for my good friend He gave me a lot of creative license cuz he’s awesome. These pics are not great but the kitchen is.

Made this mirror a while back for our dear friends the Jabbours’ new home. I used poplar and yellow pine.
