Go Jen Go!
Charlotte, NC non-profit providing support to those facing the financial burden of breast cancer. It was a joyous time! We miss her. Everyday.
Jenβs story began shortly after the birth of her second boy, Luca, on May 4th, 2007. At her 11 weeks post-delivery Jen was having rib and arm pain, her breast was redder and had developed a very large, hard mass. Jen was concerned and made a doctor appointment. π Stories like Crystalβs are why we do what we do.
A breast cancer diagnosis brings so much uncertainty, and for many patients, everyday expenses like transportation to treatment can become challenging.
Thanks to the support of our generous community, Go Jen Go was able to provide financial assistance to help Crystal get to and from her radiation treatments. π«Ά
Every donation, volunteer hour, event registration, and act of support helps local breast cancer patients focus on healing instead of financial stress. π©·ππ©΅
Want to make a difference for patients like Crystal? Get involved today by volunteering, donating, attending an event, or helping spread the word. However you choose to support Go Jen Go, you are helping provide hope and critical assistance to members of our local breast cancer community. π in bio

What a meaningful afternoon celebrating National Cancer Survivors Day with our friends at Novant Health Cancer Institute Kemp Bessant Support Center.
Our program manager, Jessie Laney Nash, loved reconnecting with past and current Go Jen Go grantees, meeting newly diagnosed patients, and sharing how our programs can provide support, hope, and relief during treatment and recovery. Moments like these remind us why community matters so much. π©·ππ©΅
We were also grateful for the opportunity to spend time with the incredible nurse navigators we partner with every day. Their compassion, guidance, and dedication help survivors and thrivers navigate some of lifeβs most challenging moments, and we are honored to work alongside them.π«Ά

βοΈ This summer is kicking off with smiles, laughter and adventure for many children of our grantees. Giving these kids the opportunity to just be a kid during a time that is scary and challenging for their family.
Many thanks to Nucor Charitable Foundation and The Builders Class of Myers Park United Methodist Church for your continued partnership and generous support of our Mood Williams Camp Scholarship Fund this year. You are helping bring joy to our grantees and their children. π©·ππ©΅
βWe have enjoyed seeing firsthand the impact these scholarships make through updates, photos, and stories of the kidsβ experiences. We feel that we are directly contributing to a great cause and are proud to support the incredible work Go Jen Go does for children and families in the Charlotte area,β shared Fincher Jarrell on behalf of The Builders Class of Myers Park United Methodist Church.
There is still time to support scholarships β as an individual donor or sponsor β for camps and programs this summer. To learn more and make a donation, visit https://gojengo.org/mood/

One of the greatest joys of Go Jen Go is bringing our grantee community together throughout the year. From flower-making workshops and education sessions to evenings at the ballpark with the Charlotte Knights and Kannapolis Cannon Ballers, these moments of connection, laughter, and support.
Today, we recognize not only survivorship, but also the friendships and community that are built during one's breast cancer journey.
