Saturday sessions are now available! ☀️
Weekdays can fill up quickly — and for many families, getting to therapy during the week just isn’t realistic.
We now have select Saturday availability for families looking for support with oral function, speech, feeding, airway concerns, mouth breathing, tongue posture, oral habits, or pre/post-release therapy.
Summer is a great time to find the missing piece of support your child may need — without adding one more thing to the school-week schedule.
Limited spots available. Call us or fill out the inquiry form on our booking site to learn more!
Available for virtual care, as well as Raleigh/Cary home and community-based visits when appropriate.

Before the USA takes the field, here’s something every athlete should know:
Breathing isn’t just automatic, it’s a skill!
The world’s best athletes train strength, speed, endurance, and recovery. But optimal performance starts with how you breathe.
Mouth breathing, low tongue posture, and poor oral function can impact:
✨ Sleep quality
✨ Energy levels
✨ Endurance
✨ Focus
✨ Recovery
And these habits often begin in childhood.
At MyoMovement, we help children and adults build healthy breathing patterns, proper oral function, and strong foundations for lifelong health and performance.
Because better breathing doesn’t just help you perform better on the field—it helps you feel better every day.

☀️ Summer is here—and if your child has been showing up for speech or feeding therapy but still seems stuck, there may be a missing piece.
At MyoMovement, we look at how the tongue, lips, jaw, breathing, and oral habits are working together—because sometimes progress depends on more than practice alone.
Whitney and Meredith offer myofunctional, speech, and feeding therapy support to help families better understand what may be impacting progress.
Select Saturday availability now open this summer.

Summer should be fun. ☀️
Mouth breathing? Not fun. 😬
While summer is full of pool days, vacations, and late nights, it’s also a great time to pay attention to habits that can impact your child’s health and development.
Signs of mouth breathing may include:
👄 Open mouth posture
😴 Poor sleep quality
💨 Snoring
🦷 Dental concerns
😵 Difficulty focusing

A less coated tongue isn’t always just about brushing harder.
In this case, there was no release — just a combination of myofunctional therapy, bodywork, and consistent home care. As tongue movement, rest posture, nasal breathing, and oral function improved, we also noticed changes in tongue appearance: less coating and less scalloping.
The tongue can tell us a lot about function. 👅✨
Road trip + speech therapy = a win win!
One of our favorite summer speech activities is a simple Sound Hunt for the letter R. As you drive, challenge your child to spot and say words with the R sound road, red, river, restaurant, railroad, and more!
It turns travel time into learning time while keeping kids engaged and having fun. What R words can your family find on your next summer adventure? 🌴🚙☀️⛱️
Did you know your tongue has a “home” position?
When at rest, the tongue should naturally rest on the roof of the mouth, with the lips closed and teeth slightly apart. This simple habit supports proper breathing, swallowing, speech, and overall oral development.
If your tongue isn’t resting where it should, your body may be working harder than necessary. Small changes can make a big difference!
