Happy Juneteenth ✊🏾

Wednesday I was in the store and I was wearing one of my God is dope shirts…the “I can’t breathe” one and the cashier looked at me and laughed asking “why does your shirt say I can’t breathe?” I responded respectfully but in a tone that let her know there’s nothing funny…at all. She immediately turned red…as she should have.

It’s insane that some can so easily forget and remove themselves from what’s happening every day STILL in the world around us. It’s a temporary trend for them but we carry that pain, fear, and frustration each and every day. I go to that store often and she will 100% remember my face. I hope she enjoyed the history lesson and the respectful reality check 🖤
