Passover is upon us, and quietly, is at capacity for catering without even posting a menu. Thanks for that!

That being said I wanted to take a moment to share a few options for your passover needs. Produced by friends of ours that we highly recommend!

is offering family style meals for pickup on the 31st or 1st from multiple locations

is offering à la carte style options from their location for pickup on 4/1

And has a whole boat load of delicious desserts available for pickup throughout the holiday.

Unlike play doh… Real Food is hard. Restaurants are harder. To be honest, ghost kitchens may be even more challenging but in different ways.

There are 4 figure days, followed up by days with one order regardless of how much internet hype you might have received. Then, In my unique situation there are also days where your kid gets sick and you had to shut down for an entire day limiting your revenue for the week and killing a valuable day of shelf life for your perishable product.

On the flip side, there are opportunities for catering. Menus are decided in advance, people pay (at least a portion) of their bill up front, and you rarely ever waste food unless you are very good at planning. You also get to flex your culinary muscles and do cool s**t.

I say all that to say I have made the difficult but necessary decisions to quickly transition from running Meshugganah as a ghost kitchen, to running it as a catering company.

While some people may be bummed (a part of me is too). I hope most of you can understand that this move is the best path forward for me to continue doing what I love but in a more measured, perhaps even more meaningful way.

The fact is I am still “back”, but I am a whole lot smarter than I was when Meshugganah set out to be something in 2021.

With all that in mind. I will also be hiring some help in the coming weeks, as I have some upcoming gigs that I can’t tackle alone. And undoubtedly my kids will get sick again, and we cant shut down people’s events.
