Peace and blessings to everyone I pray all is well. Read below and let’s have Church outside. No gimmicks, no games. We are all using our voice to stand up against gun violence in the city.

As we prepare for our June 7th gathering to pray for peace in Charlotte during Gun Violence Awareness Month, I’ve been studying a powerful truth throughout scripture:

Peace is not just the absence of violence. Peace is the presence of GOD.

In the Torah, GOD tells Israel:

“If ye walk in my statutes, and keep my commandments… then I will give peace in the land.” (Leviticus 26:3-6)

Notice the order:

➡️ Obedience
➡️ Alignment with GOD
➡️ Peace in the land

The Bible teaches that peace is connected to righteousness, justice, humility, and reverence for GOD. When a people drift from those things, confusion, division, and unrest often follow.

Then we see one of the most powerful examples in the life of King Jehoshaphat.

When multiple armies came against Judah, he didn’t start with military strategy.

He called for:
🙏 Prayer
🙏 Fasting
🙏 Worship
🙏 Unity

He gathered the people and declared:

“We do not know what to do, but our eyes are upon You.” (2 Chronicles 20:12)

Then GOD responded:

“The battle is not yours, but GOD’S.”

Jehoshaphat sent the worshippers out first. Not the warriors.

As they praised GOD, the enemy was defeated, and scripture says:

“The realm of Jehoshaphat was quiet; for his GOD gave him rest on every side.” (2 Chronicles 20:30)

The pattern is clear:

Fear ➡️ Humility ➡️ Prayer ➡️ Worship ➡️ GOD Moves ➡️ Peace Follows

This is why we are gathering on June 7th.

Not for a protest.
Not for a performance.

But to seek the face of GOD, pray for our city, honor families impacted by violence, and declare that JESUS CHRIST is still the Prince of Peace.

Charlotte doesn’t just need awareness.

Charlotte needs healing.

Charlotte needs prayer.

Charlotte needs peace.

“Blessed are the peacemakers: for they shall be called the children of GOD.” — Matthew 5:9

Over the weekend, I watched JESUS show HIMSELF and HIS WORD to be true. Over the weekend, the impact of our service efforts was powerfully illustrated through the story of a young man from Orchard Trace condominiums who benefited from dedicated support and guidance. This narrative highlights the effectiveness of our approach of service, encompassing equity, violence prevention, mentorship, discipleship, family support, coaching, and over a decade of community development.

AND honestly everybody, this is what real discipleship looks like, caring for someone, walking them through the WORD of GOD, training them in the right way, doing life with someone and not just a program, providing opportunities and resources and giving all glory to GOD at the same time.

Our team’s daily commitment to serving and empowering our community has yielded tangible results, as seen in the success of our young people. Diawoda Kamara’s achievements are particularly noteworthy; as a first-generation graduate who overcame the hardships of poverty and personal tragedy, including losing a brother in a car accident and a friend to gun violence, he is set to embark on a prestigious career at Morgan Stanley in San Francisco. We extend our gratitude to the Heal Charlotte Youth Camp team for their contributions to Diawoda Kamara’s accomplishments. Thank you to for taking good care of him.

Tell my Mother Happy birthday!!

Good morning and happy birthday to you my wonderful and beautiful mother Tammy Bailey. What a blessing it is to have you on this earth with us. Thank you for being the Matriarch. The constant reminder of what our family’s foundation is so we can push it forward. Thank you for being an example of a Mother, Auntie, Grandma and more.

You have never gave up on any of us. You have never taken a break from us (even if we tell you to). You never take a day off in loving, protecting and caring for us in a way that only you can. You never did anything to hinder your ability to be there for all of us. We love you for that. Thank you for your availability in your life and dedicating it to us.

63 years you have been blessed with and because of your love for The LORD and HIS Word. Because you honor the scripture “Honor your parents for your days will be long” we have so much more time with you because GOD keeps HIS promises.

We love you sooooooo much. I love you sooooooo much. Often imitated but never duplicated you are one of one.

1963 was often referred to as “the year everything happened,” But most importantly YOU HAPPENED. LOVE YOU!

Love you Momma
