Push The Code

Push The Code is a non-profit organization set on improving the socio-economic environment of Charleston. Right now our children are not given the proper opportunity to learn code. Luckily there is a solution, leverage the technological boom Charleston has experienced in the last couple years. To learn code one must continuously solve problems they have never encountered before. If they get stumped then they can talk with a Guru, or an experienced computer professional, to solve the problem. Push The Code will provide the environment for students to learn code through free after school programs. Further we will provide the infrastructure for Gurus to volunteer their time. We believe children who learn to code will be more inclined to finish high school and pursue stem degrees.
