Today has been an incredibly exciting and memorable birthday! I'd never thought there'd be a solar eclipse on my day. Talk about special! Thank you Lord! It's been my best trip around the sun thus far! I dug up my old shades just in time to see the eclipse. 😎

Did you know there are certain books that kids can’t read in school? Well it’s officially banned books week. Books: Beloved and The Bluest Eye by Pulitzer Prize, Nobel Prize, and Medal of Freedom recipient, author Toni Morrison are on the list. I’ve had The Bluest Eye on my books to read list. Dang, it’s almost exactly 1 year and I haven’t read it. Like they say, life be lifing. Are you reading anything?

Fun Fact, The Toni Morrison Society has a bench on Sullivan’s Island, SC to honor the enslaved that did and didn’t make it through The Middle Passage of The Transatlantic Slave Trade. I’d heard about it and finally came across it this summer.

Men, remember visit your Primary Care Physician. The P*P can do a simple blood pressure check to see if there are any issues. High blood pressure (hypertension) is a called a silent killer because often times you may not have any symptoms. Untreated hypertension can lead to kidney failure, which can lead to dialysis. If you’re in your 40s, it may be time for prostate exam or colonoscopy as well.
