We are a D2 rugby club competing in the CGRU. 2022-26 CGRU Champions. Practice Tues & Thurs 7-9pm
The Charleston Hurricanes Rugby Football Club was founded in 2001. The goals of our club are to promote the sport of rugby in the south, increase women's participation in the sport and represent the fine city of Charleston, South Carolina. As our team has slowly grown in number and strength, we are constantly reminded of the conservative nature of women in the south and the challenges this presents to developing a full team of aggressive, tackling, thrill seeking ladies. We all put our hearts, souls, and bodies into this sport and we consider our teammates more like family than friends. We are continuously looking for new members (no experience needed) to join our team. If you are interested in staying in shape, having fun, participating in a team sport, meeting lots of people and experiencing the biggest adrenaline rushes ever, please email or DM us!

We are excited to have everyone back for the start of the fall season THIS TUESDAY at Willson Field (at the Citadel) from 7-9!
Practices will be every Tuesday and Thursday at the same time and place unless otherwise stated!

We are excited to announce that Coach Russell Reagan will be taking over as Head Coach this season!
Coach Russell has been active in the rugby community since 2004, starting his career playing at NC State University and most recently playing with the Charleston Outlaws. He has continued to grow the sport through coaching at both the high school and collegiate levels.
We are excited to have Coach Russell join us and look forward to seeing the growth of the team under his leadership!

Season is right around the corner, and we can't wait! There's no better way to celebrate the start of another great season than with a party! 🥳
Join us at Frothy Beard Brewing Company on August 1 from 12:00–4:00 PM! The theme is luau, so come dressed in your best Hawaiian shirts, grass skirts, and leis! There will be a silent auction to bid on, and everybody is welcome! Can't wait to see you there!

This Saturday, USA v Zimbabwe will be in Charlotte! Sunday, there will be a free L1 Referee clinic. Anyone interested can register in the portal (https://usa.rugby/courses) and then use the code “CHARL1REF 26”. Sign up now before spots fill up!
