Memorial Day. This weekend I’m thinking of my brother Tyler, who gave his life serving in Afghanistan.
It was community and faith that pulled me out of the darkness after we lost him. And somewhere in that journey, Shine Studio was born. The name, the mission, all of it... rooted in that season.
A Needtobreathe lyric has stayed with me ever since: “just tryna make the world a little better, you know, shine the light.”
That’s what this space is for.
To every serviceman and servicewoman who has paid the ultimate sacrifice, and to my fellow Gold Star families, we honor you this weekend, and always. 🤍
