It’s all in the details! ✨Take a peek inside one of our tiniest and most fun custom projects to date! We had so much fun partnering with Bradford Lowry Interiors to work on La Petite Maison, an event in which one-of-a-kind dollhouses are designed and fabricated by a local architect and builder before being turned over to top local interior designers to work their creative magic. The dollhouses are then auctioned off to benefit a local community charity.

One thing became very clear after our last post… you all really love our custom stair runners. So we thought we’d share a little more about what makes them (and our wool carpet) so different.

It all starts with the wool.

We use some of the finest wool in the world, sourced from Banks Peninsula in New Zealand. The sheep raised there produce exceptionally white wool, giving us the perfect foundation to print and closely match virtually any color.

Unlike traditional carpet manufacturers, our advanced printing process allows us to produce custom designs in small quantities. That means we’re free to experiment with color instead of sticking to the “safe” palettes that dominate the industry. The result? More beautiful, personalized options without the higher custom price tag.

Our printed borders are built right into the design, so we can create seamless stair landings without the hand-stitching and mitered corners typically required. We also produce wall-to-wall broadloom with integrated borders and custom-shaped stair runners, making installation easier while reducing fabrication costs.

Our tufted wool has a timeless look and feel, similar to a classic Wilton carpet. And because it’s 100% wool, it’s naturally sustainable, incredibly durable, and one of the easiest flooring materials to keep clean. In fact wool carpet is often referred to as “the ultimate performance material” and with no chemicals!

Whether you’re customizing colors, mixing and matching borders from our collection, or creating an entirely bespoke pattern with your designer, we offer a level of flexibility that simply isn’t available elsewhere, especially for smaller projects.

We love everything about this stair runner! We especially love the delicate border detail. Because of our unique process we are able to print the border right into the custom size. This saves hours of installation time because you don’t have to hand seam the border or cut down the carpet. This was especially useful for the curve on the landing. It has come to our attention that many people aren’t familiar with the term broadloom carpet.

To be honest, before we started making it, I think I only knew it as wall-to-wall carpet too! We chose to use the industry term because “broadloom” sounded a bit more refined and design-focused but we’ve since realized it has caused some confusion.

So, just to clarify: all of our carpets can be installed wall-to-wall for a fully carpeted room.

Lately, we’ve been receiving so many inquiries about wall-to-wall carpeting, and it seems more and more people are rediscovering the luxury, comfort, and warmth that a fully carpeted floor brings to a home.

We’re especially excited because we’ve recently designed a new collection specifically for wall-to-wall installation, and we’re currently waiting on samples to arrive. We can’t wait to share them with you!
