Yes! More car parts! A friend dropped off this model A frame today.

This is why I love hotrods. I had the whole front end ripped out in about 30 minutes. Next I’ll be re-arching the stock spring and installing a 1932 axle which should lower the car a few inches.

I got some new 1932 spring perches and nuts from for my speedster. With these and the 1932 axle shown here I should be able to get the front of the car a little lower.

More pics from today. I finished the gunnels and moved on to lower the ride height. It started at 25” in the rear. Hopefully I can get it down a few inches.

I dunno who needs to hear this, but they make a special tool for removing the leaf springs from a model A so you don’t break stuff 😶

I built a rolling stand for my .us Apollo forge. Tune in tomorrow to see how.

I think that settles it. Hallock it is! I really didn’t like the looks in the drawing, but in real life it just fits so much better.

I started welding my anvil stands together. I need to get this one set in my shop and filled with sand. Then I can weld the top on.

They need a little tweaking and some holes, but the running board brackets I’ve been forging are mostly done.
