There's exciting stuff happening that I can't yet talk about, but after having 5 or so random requests to do house shows in the southeast United States in July, I'm gonna make a whole shabang out of it and do a house show/ private event tour. There's a few venue shows that will be scattered throughout, but damnit I need more connection with y'all and there's no better way of doing that than pounding some modelawares and playing songs. There's a HUGE benefit side to this, but like I said, I have my tongue tied at the moment. If you wanna host me from mid June to Mid July, I'm all yours. DM your boy and we'll talk. Joe told me this after reflecting alone under one of the many majestic arches in Utah. The world was shutdown, it was late spring of 2020 so we had the entire national park to ourselves, so it felt like we wandered through a portal into some dreamworld backyard. It was so quiet. I don’t doubt the spirit of the desert communicated through him.

Joe was my best friend. I loved him beyond measure & I’m not gonna lie, I’m hurting a lot without him here. Though It helps to have the good times to hold onto — and there were many wonderful memories.

I remember after Arches, we drove listening to Me and Michael 100 times and giggling about Conway Twitty’s lyrics. We settled near Area 51 and set up camp five feet away from a mountain lion den. We could never forget how the cat launched out of the bushes and shook the ground. It should’ve mauled us, but it decided to spare us for what the great mystery had already pre-measured — though Joe’s time I thought would be longer. Ironically he was always the dude telling everyone “we can die at any moment, It could happen any time, and also no one’s gonna remember you in 100 years, so don’t take your mask too seriously.” Hahaha I loved his humor. Intelligence and wisdom intertwined — that was Joe ( or Wes or whatever name he was living by). No matter what name, he was an electric human who loved being alive and took it seriously. He was 2 months away from finishing his PH.D in archaeology and had an affinity for history, and if you had any question, he would flow through his lexicon and tell you practically anything.

For those who don’t know, I started a classic rock/country band with one of my favorite singer songwriters in the game. I love this band because it allows me to be a part of songs that wouldn’t necessarily work for my own solo work. Plus I love being in a band and stepping back and utilizing my gifts elsewhere than being a lead man. is a god damn star and I’d be an idiot to get in the way of his voice anyway. But I def can compliment it :)

But it’s a very exciting time — Our first single “Mr DJ” came out last week, and now our first show is just around the corner at 2026. Just kidding! It’s at the March 6th. We’ll see you there?! Gonna be a hard hitting band with my Susto guys with my starbro Wolfgang Zimmerman on drums

Wanted to show you the Deluxe Version of Stubborn Faith.. This was the original idea of it - kinda a Neil Diamond vibe. Halfway through I knew what I wanted to do, so I just kinda gave up on the demo hahah. You’ll notice it just keeps slowly getting worse, deteriorating into into no direction. But hey! The “Jungle Full of Ghosts inception” is literally the first time I ever strummed through the chords and was humming out the idea. While I was playing it, I remember looking out the window from my home in a small magic town in the Mexico mountains. The weather was foggy, cold, & mysterious, but it felt like the room in that house was listening to every note. I felt electricity throughout my entire body and I knew in those moments I had an incredible song captured.. I just couldn’t write lyrics that would harm the power of the chords. Throughout the next few weeks I kept listening over and over to this same voice memo to write the lyrics. A few months later I finished all the lyrical details with my dear friend with our “ magic chocolates”

Enjoying these last moments before leaving for the states to tour with .. though I gotta say I’m excited to get back on the stage and perform again — it’s been awhile! **( insert Staind joke )**
