Today I was proud to lead a successful effort to secure another state funding approval and keep this vital project moving forward for the people of House District 119 and Charleston County. Many thanks to Speaker Murrell Smith & Chairman Bruce Bannister for their faith in me as one of only 5 House members on the Joint Bond Review Committee where I was able to lead the fight for approval today. Thanks to all my colleagues on the Committee, our friends on County Council, the State Infrastructure Bank, Gov McMaster, Secretary Hall & her team at SCDOT, Senator Sandy Senn, Rep. Gary Brewer & Mayor-Elect William Cogswell plus many more for their support as well.

City of Charleston Thanksgiving garbage/trash collection update
![](https://img5.findglocal.com/575/569/761856385755698.jpg)
This year, our faculty and staff have been working harder than ever to make sure the students at West Ashley have everything they need to be successful. They have gone above and beyond to support our students in and outside of their classrooms.
As a special treat, we are asking our Wildcat families and community members to consider supporting our holiday 12 Days celebration. There are three ways to get involved this year:
1. Donate to our “12 Days” fund- The money collected for this fund will go toward faculty activities such as food, fun, and goodies throughout the 12 Days celebration. Please be sure to leave a message of support or list your student’s name in the message box so that we can write thank you notes following this event.
2. Donate a gift card to our faculty prize raffle- Gift cards will be raffled daily to faculty members and will be collected in the front office until 11/29.
3. Donate your time to volunteer with set-up, pick-up, and serving shifts.
Please use the attached flyer's QR code for quick clickable access to get involved or copy the link (https://drive.google.com/file/d/1_YctdEpWoK4vM9xFovHjuNQaEMaLlvie/view?usp=drive_link) into your browser to access the involvement flyer.
Thank you for your continued support! Have a wonderful fall break Wildcats!
