9/11 is always a rough day. It’s rougher this year because of so many recent events that remind us how far we’ve drifted apart since 9/11/01 and how vulnerable we still are. It’s also frustrating hearing from my kids that 9/11 is barely acknowledged in school anymore.
Our parents’ generation responded to, and d-ed on 9/11. Our generation fought the 20-year war that resulted from 9/11. And now our kids don’t even learn about it.
NEVER FORGET 9/11. Remember and appreciate that, no matter how off course our society gets, there are still men and women willing to protect those who need protecting and respond when others don’t. May God Bless our first responders and military and may God Bless America!🇺🇸

Leadership is the only way to improve your organization. It is the ONLY skill that transcends recruitment AND retention.
In organizations with strong leadership, people stay (retention). Morale is usually high and people feel like they’re contributing. They feel secure in their positions and are optimistic about their professional (and sometimes personal) growth.
In these organizations, recruitment becomes less of a problem.
In fact, you will probably have a larger candidate pool of better qualified applicants who are attracted to your organization’s culture. If so, you are attracting people who already support the organizational culture and can help perpetuate it in the future.
Treat your people with respect and support them professionally. Provide them the education and training to do the work and the framework and empowerment to execute their mission.
Eliminate the need for hiring or firing. LEAD your way to better retention!

Getting ready for school. Be smart with your kids. Don’t volunteer personal information!
With school right around the corner…
Think before you share: Back to School Photos
Back to school photos often reveal personal information about your child. School name, grade, age, and identifying features, etc. - these can all be used by predators and scammers.
No matter your privacy setting or friends, it’s best to keep personal information to a minimum.
Have a fun and safe school year!

Most people live life every day oblivious to the real threats around them. For many, this is probably necessary in order to function in every day life. But for those interested in protecting themselves and their loved ones, situational awareness is key.
The first step is to identifying the threats around you and assessing how much of a risk they really pose. Then you plan accordingly based on your current skill sets and your willingness to do what is necessary to mitigate that risk.
Often times, simply identifying these threats/ risks makes you safer. Awareness is the most important first step. Avoidance is best, but actively preparing yourself gives you peace of mind and allows you to relax and enjoy life more.
Sweat now to avoid bleeding later (either literally or figuratively).
