Reimagining a legacy arts campus into a cohesive, future-focused creative environment, LS3P partnered with Charlotte-Mecklenburg Schools to transform Northwest School of the Arts into a unified home for one of the district’s most celebrated magnet programs.
Rooted in collaboration with educators, administrators, and the community, the design elevates the presence of the arts on campus through specialized studios, revitalized academic spaces, and intuitive circulation that encourages connection across disciplines. The result is a campus that honors Northwest’s enduring legacy while advancing a bold vision for a comprehensive K-12 arts pathway—an inspiring framework where creativity thrives, talent is nurtured, and the next generation of artists can fully realize their potential.

This May, we’re proud to celebrate five LS3P team members who earned their Living Future Accreditation (LFA)—a credential that reflects deep expertise in regenerative, equitable, and climate-positive design.
"I believe that good design and sustainability go hand in hand—sustainability is not an added feature, but a driver of long-term performance. When integrated early, these strategies improve operational efficiency, enhance the user experience, and strengthen overall project outcomes," says LS3P's Scott Greenman. "Leveraging what I learned doing the Living Future Accreditation (LFA), I apply proven tools and frameworks to align sustainable design decisions with lasting value for owners, occupants, and the broader community."
Congratulations to Victor Iwunwa, Scott Greenman, Erika Means, Macie Long, and Ernest M. Bostic II!

Curating the right workplace amenities has become critical to the success of commercial assets. It’s no longer about adding more features — it’s about creating the right mix of experiences that drive distinction, strengthen tenant attraction and retention, and create long-term value.
Today’s employees and tenants expect more than efficient workspace. They’re seeking experiences that support well-being, foster connection, and make coming into the office worthwhile. The strongest workplace assets are responding by creating destinations, not simply adding amenities.
The key isn’t adding more — it’s curating the right mix.
At LS3P, we help clients identify and curate the right amenity strategies through metrics, market insights, trends and a deep understanding of each project's unique goals and context. Effective solutions are never one-size fits all - they respond to tenant needs, workforce demographics and location-specific opportunities.
We're seeing a shift toward more flexible, experience-driven environments: shared conference hubs, activated outdoor spaces, meaningful retail, and wellness offerings. We're also seeing amenity components throughout tenant spaces to provide more of a community within the workplace.
Curating the right size and mix of amenities for each project creates distinction in the market and strengthens long-term performance. Purposeful amenities don't just enhance the workplace experience - they attract tenants, improve retention, and create a competitive advantage.
The question is not longer whether to invest in amenities, its about crafting the right amenity ecosystem.

From evolving passenger expectations to the role of design in operational efficiency and community connection, these conversations matter. We’re excited to share our perspective, learn alongside our peers, and continue advancing thoughtful, forward-looking airport environments across the region. See you there!
