JCLC (JROTC Cadet Leadership Challenge). It is an intensive, week-long summer training program that takes place at Camp Dawson, West Virginia. Cadets are selected to attend this immersive camp to build teamwork, confidence, and self-discipline.

We selected 14 of our Cadets this year to go and represent our program. During this camp these young cadets go from early in the morning to late at night. Events like the obstacle course, rope bridge, zodiac boat training, water survival training, rappelling, rockwall climbing, land navigating, and even getting to fly in a Blackhawk helicopter! Those are just some of the things these cadets do during this weeklong camp. To say it was long days would be an understatement. However, these cadets along with over 220 other cadets all put their best foot forward and finished the camp with flying colors. We will be posting pictures the next couple days. Military Ball 2026

Our Cadets assisted Horace Mann Middle Schools with their field day today. We had a great time and met some future Cadets today!!!

Capital HS JROTC Cadets did a great job today at the WV HS Basketball Tournament. They had fun, and represented our program well 🇺🇸
