Indigo and shibori artistic designer CHI design Studio and Workshop is an indigo arts studio founded by Caroline Harper, textile designer and natural dyer.
Launched in the fall of 2014, the studio represents Caroline's passion for creating useable, wearable art. Caroline's work honors ancient natural dyeing traditions and celebrates the revival of indigo production in South Carolina. New candles are available on www.chidesignindigo.com and they smell so nice! I am using 100% pure soy wax, natural fragrance oils and organic pigments. The indigo π and spirulina πpigments are slowly infused in the liquified wax for a long time in a traditional method. I love natural dyes because they create a soft pastel range of colors. You can try the indigo and lavender, or spirulina and rosemary combo. πΏπͺ΄π«πͺ»

Itβs been a minute! January is always a good month to slow down, plan, reflect and re-energize. I have been on a long beautiful holiday in my native Italy and now back home enjoying the low country winter. Hereβs some pretty colors to brighten up this season: indigo rope baskets and coasters, and indigo madder and pomegranate neck scarves.
