Out with the old and in with the new! We celebrated the first day of Spring by getting out in the garden and harvesting our celery, carrots, and onions we planted earlier this year. We planted some new vegetables and herbs in their place 🍅🥒🫑

For our Spring service project, we are supporting Blood Cancer United in their fight against blood cancer. The organization is holding a seven-week campaign to raise money for the cause, and it officially ends on March 14th. Two of our club members, Brooke and Kate, are honoring our local hero, Ava. To help the cause, we are selling a TAG day in which we will show our support for Ava, as well as all others affected by this disease, by wearing a red ribbon with our TAG day. The TAG day will be sold from Thursday, February 26th, through Thursday, March 5th, at lunch in the Main Lobby. The cost will be $3. Cash preferred. The ribbons will be passed out during homeroom on March 11th. Thank you for your support! ❤️

Thanks to the Paul family, our Life Skills class was able to learn a handy new skill last week. Mr. Paul instructed us on how to repair and paint drywall. We even got to take home some fun artwork as a result!

Our Personal Finance and Life Skills class got in the Thanksgiving spirit by going to Publix to get ingredients for some holiday treats. We made chocolate pecan pie and pumpkin pie. We hope everyone has a great Thanksgiving!

Our Personal Finance and Life Skills class has had a busy start to the year! We sprinkle life skills throughout the week into our curriculum, and we have harvested sweet potatoes, picked the beautiful flowers we planted over the summer, and even made bird houses over the past few weeks.

Last April, we began our partnership with Catholic Radio in South Carolina. The Options Program has participated in two interviews (with more to come!) in hopes of sharing the importance of our program in the Bishop England community. Ms. Common and Mrs. Murphy discussed an overview of the Options Program, and a few of our scholars shared their personal experiences and impact the program has made on their lives. To listen to both interviews, you can find the Bishop England page on the MediaTrix app. We appreciate your support!
