It’s been a while. Life took us into new jobs and new adventures, but we’ve missed traveling—and capturing the moments that spark joy and wanderlust. Not sure we’ll be as active as before, but we’re happy to be here.

This trip was particularly special because Cici's mom was able to join. There is no greater love than a mom for her kids....but a Lola (grandma)'s love for her grandkids comes pretty close.

PS - Shout out to Kim from (Last photo) . While all the staff on board the Potomac Eagle are wonderful, Kim is special. The first time we met her, Cici was 3 months pregnant with our daughter. On this trip, our daughter (now almost 2 years old) seemed to be immediately drawn to her, running over to her across the train car to sit in her lap. Such special memories 💕

Flashback to this time last year.

While we spend alot of time on Insta to promote our travel blog content, we also do it simply for us. We love being able to look back and reminisce on the amazing places that we've been and the experiences that we have been lucky enough to have.

Over the past 9 years, our Lovicarious account has shifted from young travel couple to newly married world travelers to now Lovicarous the adventure family.

Who knows what the future holds, but for now we are enjoying looking back on fond memories and dreaming about our future years together, adventuring and exploring.

When we travel, the accommodation we choose is much more than just where we lay our heads at night.

We recently spent a weekend at Firefly Ridge Luxury Retreat, a luxury glamping retreat just outside of Berkeley Springs, West Virginia. Pulling onto the property was like entering a little slice of peaceful mountain paradise. Ivory glamping tents were scattered throughout a secluded field among wildflowers and golden hay.

At night, the open field offered an unimpeded view of the dark sky above. Our host provided a telescope for stargazing. Our son got a kick out of peeking through the lens to see the "giant moon". We fell asleep to the sounds of gentle rain pitter pattering against the roof of our canvas tent.

These experiences have the potential of becoming core memories for our children. And let's be real, they also have the potential for becoming fond memories for us parents too!
