Last year, the business community lost an advocate, mentor, and most importantly, a friend.
Eason, Pamela (Prince-Eason) wasn’t just the former President and CEO at Women's Business Enterprise National Council - WBENC. She was a force for good.
For nearly 15 years, Pam led women’s business professional development at WBENC, the largest certifier of women-owned businesses in the U.S. Under her leadership, WBENC significantly expanded its work with Fortune 500 companies and dedicated efforts to underrepresented entrepreneurs.
This included collaborations with mission-aligned organizations like the National Business Inclusion Consortium.
NBIC advocates for the business interests of a diverse range of people, including LGBTQ+ folks, ethnic minorities, individuals with disabilities, and women business owners, representing a total of over $9 trillion in annual consumer spending power and significant contributions to the marketplace & workplace.
Yesterday, at the 2026 WBENC National Conference, Ampcus CEO and founder Anjali "Ann" Ramakumaran accepted the National Business Inclusion Consortium’s inaugural Pamela Prince-Eason National Advocate Impact Award. It was presented by interim WBENC CEO Nedra Dickson, WBENC COO Jill Sasso, and NGLCC Co-Founder and President Justin Nelson.
“Pam always believed in working together, be it with her team, the WBE business community, corporate members, agencies, RPO’s or other nonprofits,” Ann shared. “But it was how she did these things – forming connections, building community, creating collaborations – and the way she wrapped her work in that non-negotiable respect for the individual that, for me, defines Pam’s legacy.”
If you're in Salt Lake City this week, make sure to say hello and share a memory about Pam with us! 👋

TPRM in the age of AI is already hard. Your vendor oversight doesn't have to be.
We spoke with our Ampcus, Ampcus Cyber, and Ampcus Forensics SMEs about building ongoing resilience. In our latest blog, they discussed three use cases reshaping third party risk management for BFSI organizations:
1️⃣ Al-Powered Fraud Detection is creating new Model Risk Exposure
2️⃣ Fourth-Party Concentration Risk disrupts critical banking operations
3️⃣ Al-Accelerated Cyber Threats are outpacing traditional assessments

Day 1 of GFMI's Third Party Risk for Financial Institutions Conference is in the books, and Ampcus Group President Salil Sankaran called it a "great event." 🙌
As Joe Scarlato of Ampcus Forensics prepares to hit the stage this morning, he shared an insight from a conversation he had yesterday: "AI is not a buzzword any more - it's THE reality all TPRM professionals need to assess and be aware of. With Anthropic's Mythos hitting the street, risk propagation is more impactful than ever."
Doug Bogle of Ampcus Cyber added: "Every AI vendor a financial institution onboards today is an extension of its attack surface. The questionnaire your team sent last quarter assumed a static model — but that model has been retrained, repointed at new data, and connected to APIs you didn't approve. Cyber due diligence has to move at the speed the ecosystem actually changes, not the speed of your audit cycle.”

🏙️ Team members from Ampcus Group will be in NYC this week for the 24th Edition of GFMI's Third Party Risk for Financial Institutions Conference.
With a focus on enhancing third party risk oversight in the US financial sector, our team will be onstage sharing insights amid rising regulatory scrutiny and increasing vendor complexity.
Joe Scarlato, EVP and Global Technical Lead, will present a session on how Third‑Party Risk Management (TPRM) is being reshaped by AI, cloud dependency, and deeply interconnected vendor ecosystems. It will include practical guidance on building an intelligent TPRM model focused on resilience, accountability, and ecosystem‑wide visibility heading into 2026 and beyond:
“Today, financial institutions rely on external large language models, AI-driven fraud engines, decisioning platforms, autonomous agents, and predictive analytics providers to support critical operations. As a certified fraud examiner, I see it all the time. These systems introduce entirely new categories of risk: model integrity, hallucination risk, biased outcomes, opaque decision-making, synthetic identity fraud, and evolving regulatory scrutiny. Traditional TPRM frameworks were never designed for this.” 💡
If you'll be in New York, reach out and let's set something up.

Is it possible to be all things to all people? If you’re a forensic accountant, the answer is yes.
With over 25 years of complex forensic accounting experience, Ampcus Forensics Chief Forensics Officer Danielle Gardiner, CPA, CFF has worn many hats helping insurance companies, adjusters, and lawyers navigate the numbers behind the narrative.
Day to day, Danielle might be doing “accounting and CPA stuff,” like crunching numbers in Excel or analyzing cash flow. But on other days, she might be interviewing a claimant, reading policy coverage, dodging falling debris, supporting colleagues on a claim site, mediating a high-stakes boardroom meeting, or explaining her fraud reporting to a judge.
Doing a great job at all of these things means everything to Danielle - it’s essential to her identity as a forensic accountant, but also to how she shows up for her community as a mother, spouse, volunteer, and leader of the global Ampcus Forensics team.
In this episode of Sync Up, we spoke with Danielle about the job beyond the numbers. When balance - or caffeine - are in short supply, Danielle incorporates a few non-negotiables that help her navigate difficult situations: her values and her routines.
