SEMANA DEDICADA A ESCUCHAR A DIOS
Día 1: ¿Cómo escuchar a Dios?

Vivimos rodeados de ruido. Notificaciones, preocupaciones, opiniones, prisas, pendientes… y, en medio de todo eso, muchos se preguntan: ¿Dios todavía habla?

La respuesta es sí. Dios sigue hablando. La dificultad no está en que Él haya dejado de hacerlo, sino en que muchas veces hemos dejado de escuchar.

La imagen nos recuerda que escuchar a Dios no es una técnica secreta ni un privilegio para unos cuantos. Es una actitud del corazón que aprende a reconocer su voz en los medios que Él mismo nos ha regalado.

Dios nos habla en su Palabra, cuando abrimos la Biblia con fe y dejamos que el Evangelio ilumine nuestra vida.

Dios nos habla en la oración, cuando dejamos de hablar un momento para escucharlo en el silencio del corazón.

Dios nos habla a través de los demás, mediante un consejo oportuno, un testimonio sincero o una palabra que llega en el momento preciso.

Dios nos habla en la creación, que proclama su grandeza y nos recuerda que no estamos solos.

Dios nos habla en la Iglesia, por medio de los sacramentos, la enseñanza de los pastores y la vida de la comunidad.

La pregunta no es solamente: “¿Qué quiere decirme Dios?” La pregunta más importante es: ¿estoy dispuesto a escuchar y obedecer lo que Él quiere decirme e indicarme?

Tal vez hoy el Señor no te pide hacer algo extraordinario. Quizá solo te invita a detenerte, guardar silencio y abrirle nuevamente la puerta de tu corazón.

Esta semana queremos aprender juntos a reconocer la voz de Dios en la vida cotidiana. Porque quien aprende a escuchar a Dios descubre también el camino para vivir con sentido, esperanza y paz.

“Habla, Señor, que tu siervo escucha.” (1 Sam 3,9)

📣 FAITH FORMATION REGISTRATION 2026–2027 IS NOW OPEN! 📣

Parents, registration for our 2026–2027 Faith Formation year is now open for everyone in our community! We invite you to visit the parish office during normal business hours, Monday through Friday from 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM, to register your children.

⏰ Spaces are filling quickly, so we encourage families to register as soon as possible.

As Catholics, faith formation is much more than preparing for a sacrament it is a lifelong journey of growing closer to Christ. Even if your child has already received the Sacrament of Confirmation, their faith journey is not complete. The Church continues to call all of us children, teens, and adults—to deepen our relationship with God, learn more about our faith, and live as joyful disciples of Jesus.

Let us continue walking together as a parish family, growing in faith, serving others, and discovering God's plan for our lives.

Como católicos, la formación en la fe es mucho más que prepararse para recibir un sacramento; es un camino que dura toda la vida. On this Father’s Day, we ask for the special intercession of St. Joseph, patron Saint of fathers.

St. Joseph,
guardian of Jesus and chaste husband of Mary,
you passed your life in loving fulfillment of duty.

You supported the holy family of Nazareth
with the work of your hands.
Kindly protect those who trustingly come to you.

You know their aspirations, their hardships, their hopes.
They look to you because they know you will understand
and protect them.

You too knew trial, labor, and weariness.
But amid the worries of material life
your soul was full of deep peace
and sang out in true joy
through intimacy with God's Son entrusted to you
and with Mary, his tender Mother.

Assure those you protect that they do not labor alone.
Teach them to find Jesus near them and to watch over him faithfully as you have done.

Heavenly Father,
Bless all fathers as they care for their families.
Give them strength and wisdom, tenderness and patience;
support them in the work they have to do,
protecting those who look to them,
as we look to you for love and salvation,
through Jesus Christ our Lord.

Amen.
