Good afternoon, everyone. I just wanted to share that when it comes to computers ad laptops, when they start slowing down or the CPU fan is humming and going faster, it can be a few things.

1. One of the most common issues would be that its dirty and the computer and it needs to be cleaned.

2. On your desktop, you might have several things running in the background, which can slow it down and the CPU fan to blow harder.

3. The other issue to help it perform better will be to add Ram to the computer. Adding ram (if the device allows) will help it run faster, perform easier, and run a bit cooler.

4. This is lest possible cause but not unheard of. Sometimes when manufactures build these laptops and desktops, sometimes they might not have enough thermopaste on them. So, adding a little more won't help.

For the older systems if they start slowing down or they are going really slow, these are the possibilities it can be. This is from experience over the years.

1. Most common I have seen will be the old mechanical hard drives might have bad sectors or could be overheating which are signs of it dying.

2. The second reason would be too many things running in the background. closing them up will help with that as well.

3. Adding RAM will help some, but having an older hard drive running windows, it can only move so fast compared to the SSD Drives. Usually defragging the old mechanical drives will help as well as cleaning junk off those drives. Cleaning junk off both the SSD and the Standard hard drives helps out some on both.

I wanted to share some information about what to do if you get locked out of your Microsoft Account. This has happened to me and a few customers in the past, so I am going to copy and paste the information here.

If you are locked out of your Microsoft account on Windows 11, the most efficient way back in is to use another device (like a phone or a different computer) to reset your password online through Microsoft Password Reset. Once reset, ensure your Windows 11 PC is connected to the internet and log in using the new credentials. To resolve the lockout, follow the steps below based on your specific situation.

Method 1: Reset Your Microsoft Account Password Online If you are locked out because you forgot your password or your account is restricted; the quickest recovery method is online. On a smartphone or another computer, navigate to the Microsoft Password Recovery page. Enter the email address associated with your locked Microsoft account and click Next. Choose how you want to receive your security code (via email or a text message to a linked phone number) and click Next. Enter the verification code when prompted. Create and confirm a new, strong password. Go back to your locked Windows 11 PC, click Sign-in options on the lock screen, choose the Password icon, and type in your new password. Note: Your PC must be connected to the internet for the new password to sync.

Method 2: Unlock a Suspended or Hacked Account If Microsoft has locked your account due to a violation of the Terms of Use or unusual sign-in activity, you will need to verify your identity to regain access. Go to the Microsoft Account Locked page from any device. Sign in to your account and follow the on-screen instructions to get a security code. If prompted to fill out an account reinstatement form, do so. A Microsoft representative will review your request and contact you by email. Once unlocked, create a new password and try logging into Windows 11 again.

Method 3: Sign-in Using Web Sign-in If your Wi-Fi is connected but the password sync fails on the lock screen, Windows 11 features a Web Sign-in tool that forces the PC to connect directly to Microsoft's live servers. On the Windows 11 lock screen, click Sign-in options. Select the Web sign-in icon (it looks like a globe). A browser-like window will open, allowing you to log in securely to Microsoft. Click Forgot password? or forgotten your password? right from that screen to initiate the reset. Complete the verification steps and set a new password, which will instantly unlock your device.

Good evening, everyone. I have researched this earlier today and I have discovered that hardware failure can cause BitLocker to come up when you start your computer up. I have come across this yesterday with one laptop I worked on last night. If you have an SSD Drive that could be messing up or bad system memory (RAM), it can trigger BitLocker to come on. It will sometimes come on if windows comes across an issue and restarts the computer. In this case it happened both with windows install, which I had to recreate a Windows 11 USB boot disk which fixed the install issue to coming across an error with the code Memory Management.
The Memory Management Blue Screen of Death (BSOD) error in Windows indicates a critical failure in how your operating system allocates or accesses memory resources. It is typically caused by faulty RAM modules, corrupt graphics or chipset drivers, damaged system files, or storage drive failure. In this case on the HP laptop, the caps lock posted 3 long and 2 short flashes telling me it's the RAM. It has only done that once while installing windows, so it is possible that the RAM is bad or going bad in this laptop that's only about 2 years old. Parts are known to go bad even after a few days if they are new. It is not common, but it does happen. I will post more here later on.

This is just a reminder that if you do have a laptop, do not leave them on your bed. You will take the chance of burning up the motherboard inside your laptop. If you are going to walk away from it, put it to sleep or turn it off. If you want to use your laptop in bed, get a tray or something to sit it on so I can breathe as your using it.

I wanted to share some information about BitLocker. BitLocker is a built-in Microsoft Windows security feature that protects your data by encrypting your entire drive. It scrambles your files so that if your device is lost or stolen, thieves cannot read your data by removing the hard drive and plugging it into another computer.
This tool is on most newer computers now days. If you have a Microsoft account when you use either windows 10 or 11, and you have to replace or change your hardware settings, BitLocker might come up locking you out of your drive preventing it to boot into windows. So, if you don't have that key to enter back into windows, you pretty much loss everything on that drive. But in your Microsoft account will have that recovery key. There have been a few incidences to where people get them sed computers from the pawn shop where it has other user accounts on them. Its best to wipe those drives out before you use them so when you create your own account, you will have your own BiLock key for that device. But if you lose that key and cant retrieve it, you just lost everything on that drive and windows will have to be installed from scratch on that device.
So, when you get a new or used computer that is running windows 10 or 11, its best on used ones to wipe it and reinstall windows 11 on there and have a Microsoft account set on it. but a new one, use your Microsoft account to register that device so it will create a BitLocker key for that device. A clean install of windows 11 will create you a new BitLocker key for your Microsoft account for that device you are using.

This will be another post I have seen an issue of twice in a week. Same exact computers, same exact game. 2 customers with the exact computer with the exact same parts from the ram to video card to motherboard model, brand name, and version. same hard drives same ram, the exact same computer that was bought in 2 different locations. The game was called COD Warzone. Both played on steam with the exact setup with the same exact problem. I have spent a few hours total trying to solve the issue. I did everything it called for check this or make sure this is updated then test to see if it passes. Everything was up to date, it passed, and it still failed. The one possible issue that could fix it which I have read about is to wipe out the computer and do a clean install of windows with updated drivers, bios and or firmware and doing that will allow the secure boot and the TPM 2.0 to reset with a clean start. I never got to try that on a Ryzen 5000 or older system. but I do know that the 7000 series are newer don't have that problem. Personally, it's getting expansive to play games which I stopped playing them back in 2013. I got too old for games and personally I see it as child's play. that's just my personal opinion and a waste of money in my book, but hey more power to you if you want to spend money on them.

I was working in this reception hall because they were having issues with their photobooth not counting down when it took pictures. I knew the software was current and nothing seems to be wrong with the setup. The one thing I did was update all of the window's software, drivers and even the bios update which I am showing there. As soon as I started doing all the updates, everything started working like it should. It is important to keep your computer up to date with windows updates, drivers, bios and or firmware updates. This can be done remotely for $40 bucks. If I do go out there, it will very on distance.

It has been a good while since I posted. The last few months I have delt with 2 losses in my family which both happened back in March. I wont go into that here since this is my business page. But I will have another post here later on. So I am back and i have some updates to share with you.
