Did you know that 1 in 5 children and 1 in 7 Seniors in Maricopa County don’t have enough food to eat? More than 14,000 food boxes were distributed at AZCEND last year providing over 830,000 meals to our neighbors that are struggling with hunger and poverty. Thousands of people received a lifeline of food and essential resources at AZCEND last year.

The Outpost Arcade is proud to partner with the AZCEND food bank and shelter in Chandler to bring you our Outpost Outreach Tournament Series!

This will be a quarterly food/item/volunteer drive with each drive culminating in a special tournament where, in addition to your donated goods, we will also be donating 100% of our profits from bar and token sales during each tournament in the series!

The first in the series will be a food drive and it will run from July 1 through July 12. The tournament will be a 3-Strike $5 Bounty Knockout on July 12 at noon. Ideal items for the drive include canned fruits and vegetables, canned meats and fish, soups, pasta, and peanut butter. All items must be sealed, non-expired, and non-perishable.

Let's pull together as a community to bring in a whole bunch of food for our Chandler/Gilbert neighbors in need and have some fun playing pinball and enjoying some tasty drinks while we're at it! During the tournament, we'll also be collecting info from anyone that would like to volunteer some of their time at the food bank with us.

We sincerely hope this will be a huge success, but we'll need your help to make that happen. So please bring in those food items July 1-12, and join us for the tournament on the 12th!

Update on Pinball Lessons:

Effective immediately, we're pausing our pinball lessons at The Outpost Arcade. That's the bad news... The good news is that they're not going away, we're just going to retool them a bit and bring on a new instructor and tweak the schedule! We'll work on getting them back up and running ASAP, so stay tuned for updates!

Thank you for understanding as we continue to grow and find balance!

Hey y'all, we just heard of this brand new thing, it's called "streaming" and we think it's gonna be huge, so we're gonna give it a go! Okay, we don't actually live under a rock, that's just us totally mocking ourselves for how late to the game we are! 🤣

We're going to kick off our first self-run stream with our Weird Al launch party! We're new to this, so be gentle in your feedback, but we'll get fancier as we go. We're working on getting some commenters lined up, but there's always a chance it'll be just the streaming rig this time. For this first stream, our #1 goal is to test everything and work out the kinks, so that's the priority. To keep things a little simpler and more Weird Al focused, we'll make sure the game is in each round, and the stream will 100% be players on Weird Al. If you can't be here to play, the stream is going to be a great opportunity to learn more about this unique and fun game!

You can subscribe and tune into the stream here:
https://www.twitch.tv/theoutpostarcade

After the stream, we'll post the VOD to our YouTube channel here:
https://www.youtube.com/

So get subscribed, turn on notifications, and do all that content... stuff... so you're all set and ready to rock and roll when we go live, June 14 at noon!

Big thank you to Austin of Wolfe Amusements for bringing the game to our arcade and busting his rear to get the game into tip-top shape for the tournament. Also thank you to Multimorphic: Pinball Evolved for the great game and providing us with some excellent prizes for the launch. And finally, thank you to "Weird Al" Yankovic for bringing us all so much joy over the years!

And for all the pinballers out there, make sure to show up to The Outpost's Weird Al's Ridiculously Self-Indulgent, Ill-Advised Launch Party so we can have a huge, fun tournament!

Hey all! We hope you enjoyed your long weekend! We're just here today to let you all know that we're going to try out some new hours for the month of June. The new hours will be as follows:

Monday: Still closed (except for the Women's League)
Tuesday - Thursday: 1PM - 10PM
Friday: 1PM - Midnight
Saturday: 11AM - Midnight
Sunday: 11AM - 6PM

One exception: On June 26 we will be closing at 10PM. This is due to the Outpost Pajama Party Tournament we had already planned to begin at 11PM that night.

In short, we're opening just a little later on weekdays, but due to popular demand, we're adding later hours on Friday and Saturday!

We're going to try this out for a month and see how it goes then decide whether or not to make the change permanent.

See you at The Outpost!
