The Harlem Renaissance Fashion Show brought elegance, style, music, history, and enough pearls, fringe, and swagger to make the 1920s proud.
Today, on Juneteenth, we're especially grateful to have been part of a celebration that honored Black history, culture, creativity, and community. These photos capture more than great outfits—they capture the joy, pride, and togetherness that made the day so special.
Thank you to everyone who helped turn our historic train station into Harlem for an afternoon.

𝐑𝐨𝐜𝐤 𝐨𝐧, 𝐨𝐥𝐝 𝐟𝐫𝐢𝐞𝐧𝐝𝐬. 𝐖𝐞'𝐥𝐥 𝐭𝐫𝐲 𝐧𝐨𝐭 𝐭𝐨 𝐛𝐞 𝐣𝐞𝐚𝐥𝐨𝐮𝐬. 😉
Some pieces are harder to let go of than others, and these incredible MCM leather rockers were definitely on that list.
When they arrived at Needful Things, we may or may not have taken turns sitting in them and imagining they belonged in our own homes.
The good news? They landed with a close friend who gave them the perfect new home. Seeing them settled in this cozy space—with a guitar nearby and a fireplace ready for conversation—makes saying goodbye a whole lot easier.
We still miss them. But this photo is proof that sometimes the right piece finds exactly the right person.

Needful Things Warehouse Gallery was honored to partner with the City of Champaign, Inspire H.E.R., and First Followers for the Harlem Renaissance Fashion Show and Juneteenth Kickoff Celebration. Together, we celebrated history, culture, creativity, community, and joy through fashion, music, art, and connection.
Thank you to everyone who attended, participated, volunteered, modeled, performed, and helped make this event so special. The energy, talent, and sense of community on display reminded us why events like these matter.
We're grateful to have shared in a celebration that honored the past, celebrated the present, and inspired the future.
