After wrapping their tax season debrief and 2026 planning roundtables, our tax and admin teams closed things out with a scavenger hunt across Champaign. The same competitive streak that makes them great at their jobs showed up in full force: quick thinking, a little strategy, and a lot of laughs. We spend that debrief time figuring out how to make 2026 better for our clients, and we think a team that knows how to have fun together does better work together.

We're thrilled to introduce the newest member of our team, Chad Hettmansberger! Chad joins us as a Senior Manager in the Tax Department with over 25 years of experience spanning public and private accounting. Did you receive a CP53E notice from the IRS? Skip the QR code and go straight to IRS.gov to verify.

The IRS sent over 1.4 million of these notices as part of a shift from paper checks to direct deposit. Some were sent in error. The Taxpayer Advocate Service says to log into your IRS online account first. If it came to you by mistake, you can ignore it.
