Hi everyone! I wanted to send a reminder about, Runnin’ Elks.

Starting this Wednesday behind Cline: K-4th will practice 5:30-6:30pm, 5th-8th & HS will practice 6:30-8pm.

Drop-in players are welcome, but there is a
$10 charge per session and a waiver will need to be completed.

Summer LAX camp starts tomorrow and runs through Thursday. 6-7:30pm behind Alumni Stadium.

ISO youth LAX gear to donate to new players looking to break into the sport! If it's old and dusty we'll take it off your hands.

Runnin’ Elks Summer Lacrosse is here! 🥍

As we launch our first summer, we’re focused on building the program the right way while creating a fun and developmental environment for players of all skill levels.

Starting June 17th, we’ll hold one practice/scrimmage every Wednesday evening next to Cline Elementary for 8 weeks.

Open to players both in and outside of Centerville.
Age Groups:
• K–4th Grade
• 5th–8th Grade
• High School

Cost: $100

Includes all summer sessions + a Runnin’ Elks pinnie.
We’re also planning to attend a few fall 6v6 tournaments (optional, additional cost).

Our goal is simple: grow the game locally, help players improve, and keep kids playing lacrosse all summer long.

Pinnies tend to run small — size up to fit pads underneath.

This is a fun little mini-camp hosted by the high school boys. It’s a great opportunity for our youth players to build connections, learn from older players, and gain valuable experience from those who have already been through the program.

Events like this help strengthen our lacrosse community and give the younger boys something to aspire to as they continue to grow in the sport.

Not a bad way to end our season!

Our last 10 games: 7-2-1. Compare that to how we started, and it’s a completely different team. The growth, effort, and toughness this group showed all season was awesome to watch. The boys kept improving, kept battling, and finished the season playing their best lacrosse at the right time.

Coast to Coast:

In lacrosse “coast to coast” means a player carries the ball the entire length of the field and scores themselves without passing it off.

It usually happens after:
A goalie makes a save and runs the field.

A defender causes a turnover and takes off in transition.

A midfielder wins a ground ball and outruns everyone.

James Graf and Colin Woods both went coast to coast in last weekend's game! Congratulations boys!

FOGO: Face-Off, Get Off. A specialized lacrosse player whose primary job is to win the face-off, gain possession, create a fast-break opportunity or move the ball to an open teammate, then quickly substitute off the field for an offensive or defensive midfielder.
